EXCERPT FROM THE UN REPORT ON CLIMATE CHANGE

No country in the world is safe from the effects of climate change, from catastrophic weather events that are becoming more severe to the melting of the polar ice caps and the rise in global sea levels.

We are already confronted with severe storms, floods, droughts, and wildfires. In the future, large parts of the planet will become uninhabitable if we do not take immediate action.

Therefore, it cannot be about investing millions of euros in the “combat” of climate refugees and hiding behind walls in the (still) water-rich countries, because the suffering people of the climate crisis will come if we do not fight the crisis and support the people on the ground with alternative solutions.
